Using fresh corn is important because it guarantees perfection and it also the gives the corn extra time to soak in the creamy and buttery bath making it fresh and yummy on a buffet table. However, thawed frzen corn can be used in a pich.

- Combine all ingredients (except chopped parsley) in a 3 quarter slow cooker coated with cooking spray.
- Stir until well combined.
- Cover and cook on low for 3 ½ hours. It will completely come together at about 3 hours but allow to cook for the full 3 ½ hours for the best results.
- Add parsley and stir just before serving
This makes 5 individual servings.
How best to serve the dish?
Serve creamed corn as it pleases you. You can serve and joy your homemade delicious creamed corn treat on its own, or you can decide to garnish it with some veggies or shrimps. The choice is yours to make. I prefer mine with some veggies though.
How to store
Carefully put your creamed corn in an airtight container (make sure you get out as much air as possible) and place in a refrigerator. Ensure that the refrigerator is always on, so your creamed cord doesn’t go bad.
How long can it be stored?
You can store it for about two weeks in a refrigerator. However, it is advisable to store it for at most a week so you can still enjoy its fresh and delicious taste. Of course, no one would want to eat a bland creamed corn dish.
Do not lift the lid while cooking your food in the slow cooker, unless otherwise stated by your recipe. The loss of steam each time you lift the lid can mean an additional 20-30 minutes of cooking time.
